Creating beautiful order, one space at a time.
Type A Organization is a Napa-based home organization business dedicated to creating spaces that feel calm, functional, and thoughtfully designed. As a mom, I understand how busy life can get, and how much lighter everything feels when your home is in order. My goal is to design systems that are both beautiful and practical so your home feels peaceful, purposeful, and easy to maintain.
Hi, I’m Amanda, founder of Type A Organization — a name inspired by both my personality and my name.
My journey as an organizer began when I was a kid. I spent hours rearranging my room, organizing my closet again and again, and convincing my friends to let me do the same in theirs. Tidying was never a chore for me; it was a creative outlet.
That love for organizing followed me into my career. At my first marketing job, I was asked to organize a messy supply closet at a tech company. What seemed like a small task reminded me how much joy I find in bringing order and beauty to a space.
Today, I live in Napa with my husband and our two-year-old son. As a mom, I understand how easily clutter can take over and how life-changing it feels when your home runs smoothly. My goal is to help families create spaces that are beautiful, functional, and easy to maintain so home feels like a place you can truly appreciate.
Get To Know Me
I’m a mom to a busy two-year-old who loves to “help” tidy up.
I used to organize my best friend’s dorm room in college. It was my favorite kind of “study break”!
Before my career in marketing, and starting Type A Organization, I spent three years as a preschool teacher, which taught me patience, creativity, and how to make order out of chaos.
I spent seven years living all over San Diego County before returning home to the Bay Area and eventually landing in Napa.
I met my husband on Halloween over ten years ago! He was dressed in a toga, and I was a bank robber.
Every time I’ve moved, I make a PowerPoint presentation for the new house with design ideas and layouts for each room.
I could happily spend hours organizing a pantry or color-coding a closet.
Since moving to Napa, I’ve found an incredible group of mom friends who continually inspire me. They’re not only amazing mothers but also driven, career-focused women who motivate me to keep chasing my own dreams!
I believe organization should feel calming, not overwhelming.
My favorite part of this work is seeing clients take a deep breath when they walk into their refreshed space.
